Strong leaders are important - just as who we choose for our
president is important. A few years back we were discussing this at our
think tank, specifically if there was any positive legacy open for
Barack Obama after he left office? The way our Republic is set up with
all its checks and balances, it's hard for a leader, any leader to do
much as President without the help of the Congress. Obama did have a
Democrat Majority when he was first elected. Perhaps, he had his chance,
but after rushing through ObamaCare in the way they did, his political
capital had been spent.
Of course, we cannot blame Obama for all the ills of our nation or the corrupt politics in Washington DC. The corruption was there before he drug in more from Chicagoland and it will be there after he leaves, unless of course Donald Trump can drain the swamp, I just hope he drains the left-side of the swamp first!
Indeed, this Obama character really had a chance to do something worthy. I don't vote for socialists, but he could have done some things, easy things that would have really turned out good for this country, he chose not to. That's too bad.
Our think tank member states; "I have to repeat myself and tell them that people elected our President.
People are changing, but why? Let's actually look into the root of the problem now that we have identified it.
Are Democrats polarizing the country?"
That is the problem with politics, to unite the base you have to pick an enemy to build your team, and bring out the discontent, if you don't have any you have to create, created realities, thanks to the media, with information planted correctly and a few power strategic sessions and viola, you are in. I think the wealthy black community of Chicago really did a number on America putting up Barack Obama - that was a pretty disrespectful thing to do.
If they wanted a Black President, why not Colin Powell for instance - it's not like the Democrats didn't have options, and I guess others like Oprah didn't want the job, after all if you are billionaire why take a pay cut and instantly have half the nation despise you? That group in Chicago had plenty of very seasoned and accomplished Black Americans - they could have easily put someone up worthy who had the ability to speak.
Our think tanker stated: "Are Democrats grouping people together and pitting them against one another? What tactics are being used to manipulate the American Culture?"
Well, that's politics, you use any tactics you can to get your person in, any tactic that works, and both sides try to 'divide and conquer' and that's politics, not just national, at every level.
Now that Donald Trump is in, and after his wild-ride election filled with intrigue, how will he lead. Turns out Trump actually has a lot of executive experience, so he ought to be fine and probably leave office with a legacy as one of the strongest leaders we've had, time will tell.
