Trade Show: What Is The Perfect Handout?

Here's the thing you and I both know about Trade shows, they cost an arm and a leg to attend. This fact alone creates a massive amount of pressure on the attendee to flat out get that return on investment. It makes sense to create an environment of top players that can afford a booth. It helps make the trade shows worth it in terms of quality of businesses and traffic interested in coming to the show.

So, let's get to the point. Why do people love trade shows? The networking? Yes. The business they get from it? Yes. The handouts? Absolutely.

There are literal rules for sample seekers at trade shows that get enforced regularly. Someone simply there to collect a bag stuffed with free handouts and is not actually interested in business to business interactions will get shown the door.

The point remains, handouts are a big reason trade shows are popular. Handouts allow a staying power that is an extension of an attendees interaction with the booth. It's how you stay in mind when business decisions are made down the line.

What makes a perfect handout in this day and age? Screen Cleaner Stickers.

These are little microfiber cloths, maybe and inch by and inch and a half, with a logo on the cloth side and a little non residue sticky side that adheres to the back of a phone. When someone wants to clean their phone they simply peel the screen cleaner, wipe the grime from their screen, and stick it back on their phones. I realize that my junk drawer is pretty much made up of discarded promotional handouts that I received, and mostly pens and notepads. Think about something that is more useful that doesn't get stuck in a drawer, but rather, on the back of my phone. Considering I check my phone all day every day, that is a valuable piece of real estate.
