Various types of industrial application use dry heat to sterilize the various medical equipment, etc. They do not require water and there is no much pressure buildup within the device which means they are safer to work. The complete cycle involves heating of the device to the required temperature, maintaining the temperature, turning it off, and finally cooling down the article in the device till they reach room temperature.
