Additionally, the steel plate is available in several different grades. The most common is grade 50, which is commonly produced up to four inches thick. Other grades include 42, 55, 60, and 65. As you choose the stock, you will want to see what the KSI minimum yield is on the alloy.

It is highly workable, which is what allows it to be bent and cute with ease. Surprisingly, the workability doesn't impact its strength. It can also be welded easily enough, opening an array of options as to how it can be used.

It is fairly corrosion resistant, too. This means that you can place A572 into all sorts of environments, ranging from indoor to outdoor use. It can be exposed to chemicals, saltwater, and more. Various treatments can be added to the alloy, too. This will increase the characteristics to meet your needs.

How It's Used
